Food Service Manager

We seek a Food Service Manager for a newly built senior home based in Red Deer County (Innisfail) Alberta. Full time position.

Working with a full kitchen staff in a large well equipped modern kitchen, we seek an individual to ensure high standards are consistently delivered. This position manages the kitchen and oversight of the dining room (wait) staff. The role involves, menu planning with seniors nutritional needs in mind, budgets, staff management, scheduling and all facets of food cost (ordering, receiving, and inventory).

The ideal candidate would bring a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the senior’s care home environment. At all times the Food Service Manager should be professional, articulate, friendly, a people person, enjoys training others, and enjoys the passion of good food. Nutrition Manager Credentials and/or Red Seal Certificate is an asset.

The role ensures all statutory regulations are adhered to, and to ensure that all employees uphold the conditions of the food hygiene regulations, and deal with appropriate dietary restrictions, and ensure a safe workplace.
