Role:

The purpose of this job is to ensure data integrity inclusive of nutritional, ingredient and allergen information and all other product specifications within all Sysco software systems.

Role Responsibilities:

            Work closely with Sysco Healthcare Marketing, Sysco Corporate Marketing and Sysco Category Managers to prioritize vendors and products that support Sysco’s sourcing initiatives.

            Responsible for collecting, updating and linking all ingredient and prepared foods to the appropriate sources of nutritional information within Sysco’s Synergy on Demand software as provided by   GS1 Canada and the Canadian Nutrient File (CNF).

            Determine appropriate ingredient and prepared foods product data and linking for specific diet and texture types.

            Responsible for regular maintenance of ingredient and prepared food linking to preferred Sysco products.

            Responsible for creating and implementing a regular update/maintenance process of this information.

            Responsible for all communication between GS1 Canada, SureQuest Systems and our preferred Supplier partners regarding the updating of ingredient and prepared foods data.

            Conduct regular audits of Sysco’s Synergy on Demand software to ensure accuracy of product data and pricing information.

            Work collaboratively with the Sysco Menu development team to ensure that all product data and pricing information is current and up-to-date.

            Make recommendations for future system development.

            Other duties as required.

Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements:

         Education Required: A post-secondary education in Nutrition/Human Ecology/Food Sciences or Food Administration/Food Service and Hospitality/Marketing/Nutrition Communication. Registered Dietitian in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario.

         Work experience required: Minimum of 2-5 years work experience in foodservice. Experience in Senior’s Living or Acute Care is preferred.

         Equipment: Computer, LCD Projector, Photocopier/Fax Machine.

         Software: Microsoft Office Software; specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Cognos, IDS, Sysco Source, Synergy Suite of Systems is preferred.    

         Social Media: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.

         Bilingual is preferred.
