Food Service Manager - Windsor, ON
We are looking for a Food Service Manager in Windsor, Ontario.  This position is at Berkshire Care Centre which is a 226 bed LTC facility.  

Position:  Food Services Manager
Reports to:  The Administrator
Position Summary:  Coordinates and supervises the operations of the Food Services Department in accordance with company policies and MOH-LTC legislation. Serves as part of the Home’s Management Team.  Works closely with the Home’s Registered Dietitian.

This is a full-time position.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

•    Oversee all duties performed by the dietary staff including a Food Service Supervisor.
•    Oversees the preparation and service of all meals and nourishments.
•    Ensures that food is prepared according to standardized menus and recipes.
•    Monitors, maintains and improves quality standards through audits, surveys, checks and inspections.
•    Ensures that cleaning and safety procedures are followed.
•    Implements and control costs.
•    Conducts meal rounds, interacting with residents, families and staff.
•    Orients new employees.
•    Resolves routine work problems and grievances.
•    Oversees the staff training and education program.
•    Hires, trains and directs the work of dietary staff
•    Holds monthly staff meetings
•    Attends monthly corporate Food Service Managers meetings (travel may be required)
•    Other duties as required.

Clinical Nutrition Duties:

•    Responsible for ensuring up-to-date resident meal serving notes.
•    Participates as a member of the multidisciplinary team.
•    Attends care conferences as required.
•    Other duties as required.



Qualifications:

•    Must be a member of CSNM (Canadian Society of Nutrition Management)
•    Position requires a current (within 6 months) Vulnerable Position/Sector Screening
•    Position requires proficiency in Microsoft Office, Synergy and Point Click Care and the ability to learn other software applications.
•    Must have:
