Position Summary
The FSS must be a member of the Canadian society of Nutrition Management or a registered Dietitian
The Food Service Supervisor will assist Food Service Manager to manage all aspects of the food service department within the facility to provide nutritional care according to resident’s needs and consistent with plans of care, and will ensure the effective and efficient preparation and delivery of food to the residents within budgetary constraints

Major Duties and responsibilities:
To supervise the preparation and service of all meals and snacks following specified menus and standardized recipes
Assigns and coordinates work of employees to promote efficiency of operations
Ensure compliance to food safety, sanitation and overall workplace safety standards
Ensure snack and meal preparations meets standards
Assist the Food service Manager in planning menus
Assist in recruitment
Working alongside Registered Dietitian to create and maintain a food first approach while ensuring residents are getting required nutritional support and options, as needed
Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and in the nutritional care of residents
Ensures compliance with various regulatory agencies, eg, Ministry of Health & Long Term Care, Public Health Unit, etc

Qualifications:
• Graduate of an approved Food and Nutrition Management Program at a Community College or a University Graduate of a Food and
   Nutrition program
• Food Handler Certificate required; Clear Police Reference check required,
• Eligible for Membership in the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (C.S.N.M.) required;
• Computer literacy using Microsoft Office
• Previous experience in a healthcare and unionized environment will be asset

Salary: $22.41
Hourly: Minimum 30 hours bi-weekly

Other: Currently, we are looking for people who can work 45 hours bi-weekly ( every Tuesday and Wednesday and every other weekend); requested to be work on holidays and cover FSS/FSM vacation
