Job Summary
Parkview Home has an opening for a temporary Full-Time Director, Nutritional Services, beginning September 17, 2018.
The Director, Nutrition Services is responsible for the coordination and implementation of quality nutritional care to 128 residents.
Position Qualifications
• Graduate of a Food Service Management program from an approved college or university
• Member in good standing of the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Food Service Manager, preferably in a long term care setting
• Experience in quantity food production, menu planning and clinical nutrition requirements of the seniors’ population
• Must be knowledgeable of LTC standards, health and safety policies and public health standards
• Demonstrated computer literacy including Microsoft Office, Point Click Care, RAI-MDS and computerized payroll and ordering systems
• Excellent planning, organizing and problem solving skills
• Experience in budget planning and control
• Able to set goals, priorities and manage time efficiently
• Experience in staff scheduling, supervision, training and development, preferably in a unionized environment
• Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team using excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Vulnerable Sector Screening Police Check will be required
