SUPERVISOR, Patient Food Services
Are you passionate about supporting exceptional care? Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) is a looking for a hard-working, positive and reliable individual to join our team as a Supervisor in our Patient Food Services department. Salary Range is $36.51 - $42.76 per hour, with 6% in lieu of vacation and 14% in lieu of benefits (12% if enrolled in pension plan) to start. In this temporary part-time position, the successful candidate will be required to work varied shifts that may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
The Supervisor, in conjunction with the Food Service Management team, is responsible for production, assembly, distribution, sanitation and safety of all food services for patients and non-patients within approved resources. Our Supervisors are the front line coaches and resource centers for the food service employees. They are also responsible for updating computerized patient diet profiles, maintaining an orderly flow in the diet office and all menu processing.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
• Two year Community College diploma
• Internship / field placement
• Food Safety Training certificate
Experience:
• Three (3) plus years’ of supervision experience in a food service system environment preferred.
• Experience with planning, directing, coordinating, delegating, recruiting, interviewing, teaching motivating, coaching, evaluating and
disciplining employees
Competencies:
• Knowledge of normal and clinical nutrition.
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and written, in order to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Exhibits a team player ability to support peers and subordinates to achieve success.
• Excellent organizational skills, time management, setting priorities and multi-tasking.
• Strong morale-building skills to create a positive culture conducive to achieve success.
• Excellent problem solving and decision making skills.
• Ability to conduct and contribute to meetings.
• Knowledge of and experience with Computers including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
