Student Scholarships Funding your future CSNM is proud to provide scholarships to support individuals as they work towards a diploma in Foodservice and Nutrition Management. The National Scholarship Program Every year we offer three $1500 scholarships to CSNM student members. The winners of the scholarships are announced in September of each year. Only the successful applicants will be contacted by CSNM. How to Apply Applicants are scored on their scholastic ability, work experience within the foodservice and nutrition management industry, and their demonstrated commitment to the industry. Please ensure your application package includes all documents listed in the required criteria below. The Scholarship Application Package needs to be submitted to the CSNM Office by July 31st.  Download the Application Form Download the Faculty Verification Form Criteria Applicants must be a CSNM Student Member Completed Application form must be postmarked or received at the CSNM Office by July 31st Transcripts from completed courses must be included in the application package Must have a GPA above 3.7 (90-92%) Faculty Verification Form must be completed by the Program Director stating that the student has completed 50% of the Accredited Program Reference letters from any two of the following: Current or Past Employer Mentor from Work Placement Volunteer Co-Ordinator College Faculty Member Current Resume 500-750 word essay including: work/volunteer experience, what inspired you to pursue a career in Nutrition Management, why you chose to become a student member and your career goals. Ste. 300 Toronto, Ontario M3B 3N7 Student bursary FAQ  What are the student requirements to apply for the bursary? + You must be a CSNM student member, enrolled in your second year of your program. Refer to Student FAQ for additional information on our bursary. What are my odds of winning the bursary? + The CSNM awards 3 bursaries @ $1500 each. At the start of each term it is estimated that the CSNM has approximately 180-200 students that are enrolled in the second year of their program. Depending on how many students apply, your odds of winning are quite good. Is there any cost involved? + Depending on the Facility, there might be a cost in obtaining your transcript and/or the cost of a postage stamp when you mail in your application form.  What criteria will applicants be reviewed and graded on? + Applicants are scored on their work experience within the foodservice and nutrition management industry, financial need, scholastic ability and their demonstrated commitment to the industry. The point system is based on the following: Essay50 PointsWork Experience & Employer Recommendations25 PointsScholastic Ability25 Points What is the deadline for submission? + The deadline for submitting your application is July 31st. Who makes the decision on choosing the winners? + The CSNM Honors and Awards Committee selects the winners of the bursary. The committee is made up of the following Board Members: President Past President ( Chairperson) President-Elect One Provincial Representative When is the winning submission announced? + The winners of the Bursaries will be announced in September of each year.
