CNM Certification

Level up your nutrition manager status

Receiving your Certified Nutrition Manager (CNM) designation is the highest level of certification in nutrition management and will increase your influence as a leader in the industry. In order to become a CNM, you’ll need to fulfill the Canadian Council of Professional Certification (CCPC)’s certification and renewal requirements.

Why get certified?

The purpose of certification is to recognize those who have acquired an advanced level of training, skills, work experience, and effectiveness as a nutrition manager. For career growth and promotion opportunities, certification is your best next step.

The focus is to provide:

  • An avenue for CSNM members who have studied, worked, and developed skills in the nutrition management field to receive professional recognition.
  • The public and their employers with confidence that professional managers have attained an advanced level of competency.
  • Certified Managers with encouragement and opportunity for continuing education and professional development.

About the certification

The CCPC has entered into an agreement with CSNM to be the third-party examiner for the certification of CSNM’s membership. They issue professional credentials to those who qualify in their respective fields and will perform periodic audits of Certified Nutrition Managers’ annual continuing education.

Who can be certified?

Professional CSNM members can apply for CNM credentials. However, you need to be able to meet the standard criteria for education and experience set by the CCPC Global Examining Board.

Who can use the certification title?

Certified Nutrition Manager (CNM) is trademarked. Only CSNM members that have been approved by CCPC and continue to maintain their certification through CSNM and CCPC are entitled to use the trademarked certification title.
