Earning CE Points
Stay current with continuing education
Staying at the forefront of your profession is crucial for your personal growth and the quality of services you’re providing. We’re committed to supporting your ongoing development through our continuing education (CE) program.
Earning CE points
By earning CE points, you’ll be expanding your knowledge, refining your skills, and ensuring that you stay current in your profession.
As a nutrition manager, you’ll need to earn: 8 credits per year.
As a certified nutrition manager, you’ll need to earn: 16 credits per year.
What counts towards my CE points?
As a CSNM member, you can earn CE points in two ways:.
Magazine Quizzes
Read our Food Service & Nutrition magazine and complete quizzes through your Online Profile
Event Evaluations
Sign in or fill out evaluations at conferences and any of CSNM’s over 175 approved seminars, workshops, webinars, webcasts, exhibits and food shows. Event organizers will notify CSNM of your attendance.
In addition to quizzes and events, certified nutrition managers can also earn credits by:
Volunteering on a CSNM Committee
Request a letter from the chair of the committee. Submit the letter to certification@csnm.ca requesting one CE point for volunteering by December 31st for approval.
Completing External Courses
For external and non-approved education courses, complete the “Continuing Education Tracking Form” Section XIV (available when you log in to your Online Profile). Email the form along with the required documentation such as proof of attendance/completion, course info and receipts to the Certification Portfolio Manager at certification@csnm.ca by December 31st for approval.
