Your path to membership starts here
To receive your membership with CSNM, you’ll need to fulfill the requirements below.
In order to be eligible for membership as a Canadian applicant, you must fulfill one of the two following conditions:
Graduation from a CSNM-accredited program in food service and nutrition management
Graduation from a post-secondary program other than one of our accredited programs
Please note: If candidates meet the above criteria, they must write and pass the CSNM examination.
These are the requirements for international applicants who have graduated from a non-accredited program.

Applicants will be required to provide documented proof of minimum English or French skills before being eligible to write the CSNM Entrance Examination in their chosen language of English or French. Applicants exempt from providing this information are graduates from a CSNM Accredited Program and Registered Dietitians (from Canada).

To maintain your membership with CSNM and continue to take advantage of our exclusive member benefits, it is necessary to:

Education (CE) points
Renew your membership
by March 31
The CSNM membership year runs from April 1 – March 31 and our invoices for membership renewals are distributed in January. In order to determine if you’re eligible to renew, our CE points collection period has to end in December to ensure our members attain the appropriate CE points to renew.
