Food Service Manager - Mississauga, ON
A privately owned long term care facility in
PORT CREDIT, MISSISSAUGA
is looking for a
Food Service Manager (FSS)
to manage and supervise the operation of the Dietary Department. We are a 55-bed facility, and the Food Service Supervisor manages all the dietary updates, audits, menus and menu changeovers, staffing issues, care plan updates, new resident profiles, care plan initiation, implementing dietary initiatives for resident as able, seating plans, therapeutic menus, theme day menus, snack menus, policies and procedures as they relate to dietary/food service, nutrition and hydration program, interviewing food service workers/cooks, coaching staff, ordering/inventory.
The successful candidate must possess confidence, extreme leadership, be able to work independently as they will be in charge of the dietary department, and be a fast learner. The candidate MUST possess a valid CSNM membership, be able to work EVERY Tuesday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday, be extremely literate in Excel, Word, and Med e-Care, and fluent in English (both written and spoken). Ability to work and troubleshoot an asset.
In addition to the roles above, the successful candidate will be computer literate, having experience in Care Planning, Med e-Care, Inventory Control, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Supervising a Team, Decision Making, Reviewing Policies and Procedures, Creating Menus/Theme Day Therapeutics, Special Menus, Creating Policies/Procedures as needed, Updating Dietary Kardex, Working as a Team Player, Working as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team, and able to Multitask.
Anticipated start date: February 26, 2020.

Salary: $22.00 to $23.00 /hour
